Jobs for the boy

I met with the stand-in head of our division yesterday and although he was pleasant enough, his myopic approach to life means we will have a tough time. I am waiting to hear about a new job after some weeks of discussion with the head of a business unit. I need a fresh challenge and I need to get away from the politics of the division I work in. But she has kept me waiting, for one reason or another, and I am starting to get frustrated or even concerned that it is a no-deal situation. We have a agreed a job spec, she wants me to come to her area, she sees the value-added, and her people are keen to have me on board. But am I too senior? do I cost too much? - I don't know. I really wish she would come back to me soon- I think she's an impressive person, one who I feel I could work well with, and she's in charge of a potentially exicitng area. If anyone up there is listening, please make this work!!
