Parisian walkway

So, our trip to Paris was a success, if a little exhausting. Every time we have been to Paris, it has been memorable for one reason or another: our first trip in 1998 was aborted after excessive rain; our second visit was in the heatwave of August 2003 where it hit 43 degrees; and now we seemed to be walking uphill - constantly. We managed to get to Montmatre and the Sacre Couer, walking all the way as the funicular railway was out of action. The cemetry was interesting and we found the grave of Nijinsky - ballet dancer, not racehorse - an experience as a cemetry is, well, a cemetry. We had a couple of good meals, then on the Wednesday night, we went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. My eldest sone was distraught that the Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction! We ended the trip with a trip to the Pompidou Centre but we had to make do with a view of the exterior. Oh well, at least we went to Mariages Freres, the famous tea house. Although the Earl Grey was a success, the Shanghai Breakfast Tea is really not my cup of tea.
